January Resource Meeting (via Zoom): Social opportunities for Adults with Disabilities

Join us to learn about several organizations that offer social opportunities for adults with disabilities. Please click on the links below to learn additional details about our presenters and their organizations:

Jim Wurster will be sharing about the work that New Avenue Foundation has been doing in their Harmony program, which includes weekly meetups at two locations in Delaware County. Harmony events include time for meeting and making friends, sharing snacks, and engaging in fun activities like music, arts and crafts, yoga, and sport activities.

Mary Fetterman will be sharing about Horizon Family Hub, a nonprofit organization launched in 2025 to support adults with intellectual disabilities and autism through inclusive, community-centered programming. Currently offering social events in the Exton area, Horizon Family Hub is focused on creating meaningful opportunities for connection, independence, and belonging beyond the school years. Our long-term goal is to open a dedicated community space that supports skill development, participant-led social activities, and family gatherings.

Christine Denaro will be sharing about Compass Point, which offers travel and social opportunities for adults with disabilities.
