Frequently Asked Questions
Who can participate in Families CCAN programs?
Our programs and services are designed for people with disabilities ages 16 and up, their families, and their support team.
We practice radical inclusion— our community members have a wide variety of disability labels and a wide variety of supports needs levels. Everyone is welcome!
Our community members are invited to participate in whatever way feels most comfortable to them, and with whatever supports they need.
Our programs are designed to help people move forward on their own journey to greater independence, whatever that might look like to them!
What does Independence Mean to you?
We know that Independence looks different for everyone. For some people, that might mean living in their own apartment with support staff a couple of hours per day. For other people, it might look like having 24/7 support, and having the tools they need to advocate for their everyday life.
Families CCAN is dedicated to walking beside our community members as they identify what independence will look like in their own lives, and then helping them to take concrete steps toward their independence goals.
Are your programs designed for people with specific disability labels?
