Special Interest Night: Musical Theater!

Families CCAN Special Interest Nights are an opportunity for our community members to show off their expert knowledge on a topic of their choice. We invite folks to join us for 75 minutes to have fun and make connections while discussing an existing interest or learning about a new one.
Our next Families CCAN Special Interest night is all about a topic near and dear to my own life: musical theater!
On Monday, June 1st, Families CCAN community members Aubrey and Anna will lead an exciting and interactive session where we will learn about musical theater, play a trivia game, and participate in an optional sing along! Whether you are a musical theater expert or a novice, we invite you to join the fun!
Anna and Aubrey are both musical theater experts, and they have been hard at work planning their presentation.
When I asked Anna about her love for musical theater, she said, “I fell in love with musical theater early. I have a grandmother who is a retired opera singer and I think I got my love of music from her.” She also said: “I fall in love with the songs. I love to be in the theater with a group of other people, all experiencing the same thing together.”
When I asked Aubrey about her love for musical theater, she said, “I love seeing musicals in person. I like to see all of the scenery and sets. . . . When it comes to musicals, I like everything.”
